CLF National Conference 2016

  • Inn at the Quay

We look forward to having you join us at the Inn at the Quay in New Westminster, B.C. Located on the scenic Fraser River Boardwalk, the hotel is next to the River Market and is just a short walk from the new Anvil Centre, Pier Park and the Shops at New West Station. The SkyTrain station is also just steps away, connecting with Burnaby, Metrotown and Downtown Vancouver. Large windows and private balconies provide views of the Fraser River from every guestroom.

Our theme, "Restoring The Gates: Building Integrity, Ousting Injustice", comes from the Book of Nehemiah which depicts the way of recovery from brokeness to a condition of peace, security, restored order, justice, and fruitfulness. Like the walls and gates around Jerusalem, the foundations of justice in Canada are in need of rebuilding and restoration. Much of what we hear in the news demonstrates the need of justice for the poor, the oppressed, the unborn, the elderly, the widow, the orphan, and the refugee.

The Book of Nehemiah reminds us that even when surrounded by brokenness, a faithful remnant of God's people can restore hope. The restoration of gates, not just walls, was a specific theme throughout the Book of Nehemiah, reminding us of the need to not just build protections, but to maintain open gateways for those in need of refuge, safety, and justice. Lawyers are often referred to as the "gatekeepers" of justice. We look forward to having you join us at this strategic event to learn, pray, and share together as we seek God’s plans for our lives to Restore the Gates.
