Background Information

Founded in 2009, the Christian Legal Institute is designed to provide Christian law students, lawyers and others with professional training and a Biblical view of the law. The week-long internship attracts law students, young legal practitioners and multi-disciplinary scholars from across Canada and around the world. The program is designed to equip students to articulate a Biblical view of law and to engage their peers and professors in discussions related to fundamental freedoms. Attendance is limited. Successful student applicants will receive complimentary four nights accommodations, all scheduled meals, course handouts, and scholarly training. The first round of applicants will be considered on or before March 21; the second round of applicants will be considered on or before April 15. A small number of spaces may be reserved for pre-law and graduate students in other disciplines (eg: journalism, political science, theology). Lawyers are also encouraged to participate (fees apply; see below).

Hotel Reservations:
Hotel and meal costs are complimentary for qualifying students only. All others must book their hotel with the CLF office (hotel costs are not included in the registration fees below). To make hotel reservations (other than students), please email Helen. Accommodation rates are $130.00 per night.
NOTE: There is a limited number of rooms available and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Please book as soon as possible.

*Full Registration includes one banquet ticket on Thursday, scheduled meals and breaks each day, plus conference papers/handouts. Attendees will dismiss on Friday morning after breakfast and commissioning ceremony. Attendees may wish to consider attending CLF’s continuing legal education seminar running concurrently on Friday, May 15 (CPD mandatory credits are expected to apply; separate registration coming soon).

Conference Cancellation Policy:
A $25.00 fee will be charged for all cancellations received by Christian Legal Fellowship on or before April 15. After that date but before May 1, a $50.00 cancellation fee will be charged. After May 1 a 50% cancellation fee will be charged. After May 7, we regret we cannot refund your registration.
