Beginning Monday, November 7, the Quebec Court of Appeal will hear the constitutional challenge to Quebec’s Bill 21. Christian Legal Fellowship (CLF), Canada’s national association of Christian legal professionals, has been granted leave to intervene in the litigation.

The Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights (JUST) has released its final report on the Protection of Communities and Exploited Persons Act (PCEPA). CLF submitted a detailed legal brief to the committee, discussing the relationship between human trafficking, exploitation, and prostitution, emphasizing the ways that the PCEPA fulfills Canada’s international legal obligations to combat human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
