Founded in 1962, The Law Society Foundation (‘Foundation’) is a registered Canadian charity administered by The Law Society of Upper Canada.

The Foundation was established in 1962 in order to raise funds from the legal profession to provide financial assistance to students in need as they pursued their law degrees and admission to the Bar of Ontario.

The Foundation’s mandate has expanded significantly since 1962. We serve the public and the legal profession by encouraging and promoting legal education in Ontario; by preserving objects of historic significance to Canada’s legal heritage and by reaching out to those in need through the Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program.

The Law Society is proud to help the Foundation with its charitable mandate, and to help volunteer groups within Ontario’s legal community deliver important hunger relief services
